Mohammed Alotaibi – Founder & CEO

Mr. Mohammed is an expert in the legal field with more than 18 years of experience that mixed between working in the private sector as an in-house lawyer, and the experience of working in law firms. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in law from king Saud university in 2003 and LLM from the united sates in 2008. His legal experience consists of preparing and drafting various types of contracts and agreements in the Arabic and English, additional to the strong experience in foreign investment, establishing companies, JV’s agreement for local and foreign companies including drafting bylaws, AOA’s, partners resolutions, board resolution. Also, he has strong experience in mergers and acquisitions and registration of trademarks and patents. Mr. Mohammed is considering one of the most distinguished Saudi lawyers in establishing legal department and creating the structure, strategy, process, supervising the team for legal departments in a big companies such as holding companies, joint stock companies and family business. He also has very strong experience in litigation in various conflicts including inheritance disputes, commercial, labor and administrative disputes. Mr. Mohammed is fluent in Arabic and English.

Mr. Subahi Mohammed Subahi - legal Advisor

Mr. Sabahi holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Khartoum, Sudan in 1977, and has long experience in legal work that extends for more than forty years in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is considered one of the best experts in drafting and reviewing various legal contracts, establishing foreign and local companies, and registering trademarks. He is also considered an expert in drafting and preparing regulations, judicial memorandums, and appeal regulations. In addition to legal experience, he has administrative experience in training and qualifying the legal team, as he supervised the management of a former law firm for a long period and was able to achieve inspiring successes in settlements and reconciliation in commercial disputes, heir and inheritance disputes. Dr. Amira Nasr – of counsel

Dr. Amira Nasr is a distinguished legal expert with over 25 years of experience.
She obtained her Bachelor of Law from the University of Khartoum, Sudan in 1989, her LLM from Exeter University, UK, and her PhD in Contractual Obligations from the University of Khartoum. Dr. Nasr’s extensive expertise encompasses contract law, commercial law, litigation, public and private financing, mergers and acquisitions, legal risk analysis, compliance, government contracts, and trade funds. In addition to her legal practice, she has also served as a lecturer and fellow at the University of Khartoum, contributing significantly to legal education. Her profound knowledge and vast experience make her a highly respected figure in the legal community. Dr. Amira is fluent in Arabic and English.

Mr. Ibrahim Ahmed – legal advisor

Mr. Ibrahim holds a law degree from Cairo University in 1996 and has legal experience for more than 14 years in the private sector and law firms in Saudi Arabia. His experience consists of preparing and drafting commercial, administrative and labor lawsuit Memorandums as well as objection petition and appeal memorandums. In addition to providing the appropriate legal opinion in such disputes after studying the documents with supporting the dispute.

Tahani Alazmi – Legal Trainee

Tahani holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Sahqra university in 2024 with second honors. She got legal training for several months before recently joining Alotaibi law firm. Tahani has high skills in legal research and litigation.

Mariam holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Imam Muhammad bin Saud University. She has good experience in administrative work, coordination and follow-up before various government agencies

Mr.Tayeb Hassabo – of counsel

Mr. Hassabo Graduated from University of Khartoum in 1986, Mr. Hassabo is a co-founding Partner of Aztan Law Firm in 1989. Specializes in business laws, cross-border investments, finance, telecommunication, and corporate matters. Mr. Hassabo was head of the Aztan team that handled four major financing transactions for a major telecommunication operator in Sudan and South Sudan. Moreover, He was head of the Aztan team that represented Japan Tobacco International in its landmark acquisition of HCTF in Sudan (US$ 450 million) (wasn’t confidential, was declared worldwide because JTI is a listed entity). Led the team that represented Etisalat (PJSC) of the United Arab Emirates in disposing of its shares in Canar Telecom in Sudan (US$ 93 million). Mr. Hassabo Represented Standard Bank Asia Hong Kong in the financing Sudani project for Sudatel. He handled and assumed the legal work and due diligence concerning infra-structure transactions, industrial projects, power projects, international procurement agreements, telecommunication projects, Islamic and conventional finance, distribution and agency agreements, acquisition and merger of companies, and giant agriculture projects. Was a team leader in five landmark and successful acquisition transactions in Sudan including acquisition of First Abu Dhabi bank Branch in Sudan. Mrs. Nawal Elsadik - of counsel

Nawal Elsadik Abdullah is a co-founder of AZTAN Law Firm, she possesses extensive experience in Infrastructure projects, construction and O&M contracts, procurement and government projects, PPP projects, transport & planning, including Transit Oriented Development (TOD) projects, commercial arbitration, and general corporate & business matters. Mrs. Nawal started her legal career in 1988 after joining the law office of Advocate Taha Abu Garja in Sudan. From there, Mrs. Nawal transitioned to the United Arab Emirates, where she joined the law office of Maroun Mater and Mahmoud Al-Hawai. In 1994, Mrs. Nawal’s work became more focused on Business transactions and commercial conciliation and arbitration experience over ten years with the legal department of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (“DCCI”) and Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC). Thereafter, Mrs. Nawal was appointed as senior manager of the Contracts & Purchasing Team for the Rail Agency, a subsidiary of the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority. During her tenure, which spanned 2005-2014, two mega projects were executed. The first was the Dubai Metro Project. This project has received the recognition of “Guinness World Records” as the longest metro line in the world to be executed in one phase. The second project was the Dubai Tram. In 2014, Mrs. Nawal was asked to join the Department of Transport (DOT) in Abu Dhabi to be part of a team tasked with building the city’s metro and tram network. She worked on the task force until the project planning phase was completed in 2020. Mrs. Nawal continued to work closely with the team of AZTAN in Sudan, even while at UAE. Mr. Azhari Traifi – of counsel

Mr. Traifi received his License de Droit, from Cairo University, Khartoum Branch 1986. Practicing Lawyer in Sudan since 1989. He is a co-founding Partner and Head of Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Section since the establishment of Aztan. Mr. Traifi specializes in litigation and alternative disputes resolution, achieving remarkable successes in many major cases qualified him to become one of the well-known lawyers who plead before courts of all types and all levels especially before the Commercial Court and the Intellectual Property Court in Khartoum. He has gained vast experience in intellectual property, real estate transactions, commercial agencies, franchise, banking and finance, in addition to heavy involvement in registration and liquidation of companies. Mr. Traifi was a member of the team of Aztan that represented Japan Tobacco International in its landmark acquisition of HCTF in Sudan . He was also a member of the team that represented Etisalat (PJSC) of the United Arab Emirates in disposing of its shares in Canar Telecom in Sudan He also represented Standard Bank Asia Hong Kong in financing the Sudani project for Sudatel. Osama Ahmed Ombada – of counsel

Advocate Osama is in charge of the Oil Section in AZTAN Law Firm. Handling matters relating to the oil industry and projects. Member of AZTAN’s special assignments team. Have experience in local laws of Sudan and South Sudan and the neighbouring countries with focusing on foreign investments matters. Managed major projects related to companies’ acquisition, construction, agriculture, telecom. Great experience in Litigation and alternative disputes resolution in particular mediation and conciliation. Joined AZTAN in 2010 and before that was working since 1997 with Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company Ltd. in the Legal Affairs Department. His job included provision of legal opinion to the management with regard to the various issues relating to the company’s activities and Sudanese Laws, review and vet all contracts, agreements and tender documents, manage the procurement process from tendering process, negotiate with bidders and make recommendations with respect to contract award. Manage legal and contractual aspects of the company’s projects and claims and represent the company before courts and administrative and arbitral panels. Fluent in Arabic and English languages.

Abdulla Mohamed Al Radi – of counsel

Mr. Al Radi is a Contracts Expert; he provides consultation on a remote basis. Mr. Abdulla obtained his L.L.B degree from the University of Cairo-Khartoum. He a member of Sudanese Bar Association, International Association for Contracts & Commercial Management- USA (IACCM). Arab Lawyers Union (ALU), Arab Federation for International Arbitration (AFIA) under the umbrella of Arab League. He is one of the trainers in the program for the “High Diploma in Governmental Contracts for Dubai Employees” organized by Directorates of Finance & Human Resources of Dubai Government. Also, he presents RTA in the committee for replacing the recent Governmental Contracts Law of Dubai by a new one dealing with the developments in the field along with international best practices and Chairing the Technical Team for standardization Contracts, Contractual Documents & enacting the Contractual Policies/Manuals.

Mrs. Inaam Attiq – of counsel

Mrs. Inaam Attig received her LLB. from University of Khartoum, 1986, and her MSC in Intellectual Property from University of Khartoum 2005. She is a member of the International Bar Association. Ms. Attig specializes in intellectual property matters. Her experience includes IT matters, corporate and business laws, telecommunication, distribution and agency agreements and litigations and alternative disputes resolution. She was a member of the team of Aztan that represented Japan Tobacco International (JTI) in the acquisition of HCTF in Sudan. Mrs. Inaam was head of the team of Aztan that handled Sudan’s section in the World Bank’s project “Enabling the Business of Agriculture” 2017 report. Mrs. Inaam is a member of the Competition and Antitrust Council which was formed by the Sudanese Prime Minister in 2020. She is also a passionate human rights defender and gender equality advocate. Mrs. Attig is fluent in Arabic and English languages.
